TSV ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2020 – CONFERENCE CALL

Event Description :

Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Tamu Samaj Victoria was held from 1 to 2:30pm on Sunday 2 Aug 2020 on a conference call. Due to ongoing COVID-19 lock down restrictions in Victoria, it was decided to do AGM on the conference call,  following 11 persons joined the AGM.

Agenda, Discussion and Decisions:

TSV President Mr Pahalman Gurung presented followings – TSV activities overview, and financial report on behalf of Assistant Treasurer Amrit Gurung.

 
1/ All events for 2020 have been cancelled due to the pandemic. If things get normal for Victoria , the executives will have a closer look at government regulations for future steps.
 
2/ The payment for consumer affairs should be paid by August 2020. The payment to be done by Treasurers once the financial reports are discussed in the meeting .
 
3/ Arun to quote on insurance policy ( public liability ) which is due on 17 Sept 2020 for the year 2020-2021.
 
4/ Arun to look after the website payment for the year 2020-2021 which is due early December.
 
5/ Tax return has been done for 2018/2019. The next tax return will be done by Arun with Dipu.
 
6/ All activity reports to be done asap for the year 2019-21 for future reference and digital magazine if it goes forward.

7/ Annual general membership to commence from today for the year 2020-2021 . Following are the banking details for

8/ All lists for general membership and cultural center to be presented on Viber group .
 
9/ Call for anyone dealing with hardship during this quarantine and the executive to decide for the action from case to case. Ashok/Pahalman/Amrit to prepare COVID fund report and present on viber group.
 
10/ More discussion on the cultural center should be done regarding our cultural center among members. A meeting to be called for the Cultural Center once things get normal in Victoria.
